Trying to mentally prepare myself for showing ALL of my legs in public, this summer. This blog has helped me so much with confidence and I love seeing so many ladies who look like me breaking the barrier in fashion that has been built up by our society.
Don’t let the idea get to your head that the way you look dictates what you can enjoy. I love swimming and I don’t want the way I look to get in the way of that. Summer is advertised as this time where we all show off our hot new bikini bods that we’ve been working on since january 1st (riiight) in order to attract others. This only succeeds at making anyone who doesn’t look like an VS angel feel like crap.
Each day is a constant battle and I know I’m not the only one that experiences this. It’s hard to accept my body and let live everyday. But when I do, it’s amazing!
So, I encourage you as you have all encouraged me to go out there and don’t be afraid!

I’m not big into selfies, but I had to share this.
I have always been really self conscience about my weight. But , since we just moved and we are trying to start a new life, I thought maybe now would be a good time to try to get beyond my feelings.
I ordered my first dress last week (well, not first ever, but in a long, long time), along with a new sugar skull bag and shoes.
They came today, and I have to say, I’m not a size 2, but I think they suit me….
At any rate, here’s a shout out to all the fat girls who decide they can dress cute too, if they want to. I’m gonna start trying. Wish me luck!

I ordered the dress from Amazon, in a shop called Skelapperal. It is a size 22…

One of my favorite dresses because it has pockets. More dresses should have pockets!!
I’ve been trying to be more fashion-conscious lately, rather than just throwing on a t-shirt and jeans. (This blog helps a lot with inspiration!)
