DIY Crackle and Glitter Nail PolishTutorial from Sweeter Lemon here. She coats only the underside of the glass cabochons and not the trays. For a different technique go to this really popular nail polish ring tutorial I posted here.
DIY Skeleton Hands Tutorial and Inspiration. I’ve been going through my archives looking for Halloween stuff from last year and found these two posts.
Top Photo: DIY Inspiration: Skeletor Belt by Delfina Delettrez. $3,996 (sold out now) and yes it’s sterling silver, but this looks like a really easy DIY for Halloween using a few spray painted plastic skeleton hands. Go to my post here.
Bottom Photos: DIY DSQUARED Inspired Rhinestone Skeleton Hand Brooch Tutorial from Studs and Pearls here. Left Photo: $492 (on sale) Skeleton Hand Brooch by DSQUARED, Right Photo: Easy DIY by Studs and Pearls using a cheap plastic Halloween skeleton hand.
I made these earrings myself in an hour and a half. I used an Arizona Iced Tea can, french loops, and some electrical wire.
Truebluemeandyou: These earrings are by far the prettiest recycled can jewelry I’ve seen. So when I see posts about people wanting to use recycled items for crafts - this is a good one!
DIY Rhinestone Studded Leather Cuff Tutorial. Again, one of the tools I use frequently is a leather hole punch - not expensive in the scheme of things. Easy tutorial from wobisobi here. *Link to another leather cuff tutorial at wobisobi.
DIY Easy Ribbon and Trim Bracelet Tutorial. This has a button closure so it’s really easy to make. Tutorial from flax & twine here.
DIY Button Tassel Earrings Tutorial. These DIY earrrings look great on Kristen of Glitter ‘N Glue. Easy to follow tutorial from Glitter ‘N Glue here.

This is excellent. Most of the cute bracelets I see don’t even come close to fitting my chubby wrists. I can’t wait to give this one a try.

DIY Gorgeous Yet Easy Lace and Brooch Choker. So simple and elegant with so many possibilities. Tutorial from Trinkets in Bloom here.
DIY Knockoff Anthropologie Accordion Strands Necklace. Photo Left: $278 Accordion Strands Necklace here. Photo Right: DIY by Yellow Blackbird. This necklace only costs a few dollars because it’s made out of grosgrain ribbon instead of silk. There are more photos on her site of this necklace in a gorgeous deep blue. Tutorial from Yellow Blackbird here.
Feeling cute today! Wore this to my family’s Christmas gathering.

The jewelry is a gift from my girlfriend, I love them but no clue where she got them! :)
I just posted a Wish List of all the jewellery pieces I’m lusting after atm; here’s a link: ‘The Jingle-Jangle of Shiny Things’
So, I figured it’d be cool to write a wee shortlist of the sites I like the most so everyone else can have a look too :) I’m mostly into kitsch, colourful, cheap and cheerful stuff; otherwise I prefer silver, black and gunmetal grey.
Here are a bunch of my favourite online shops for jewellery items (click for links):
Also though they’re male-focussed clothing stores, these shops regularly have awesome pieces:
I’d love some new followers too ;) *hint hint, nudge nudge* G33k-Chic-uNiQuE
